Create a Relational Connection

Similar to the prior step where you created a connection for Anaplan, you will now create a connection to interface with a relational database. For this tutorial, we have created sample Oracle and SQL Server relational databases. If you'd prefer to use your own database, then you will most likely need to configure a GroundRunner to interface with your on-premise system and learn more about our support for other relational technologies.

If you are ready to get started using one of our sample databases, then follow these steps:

Step 1: Create an Oracle or Microsoft SQL Server database connection

  1. Navigate to the OneCloud Connection Manager, create a new Relational connection by selecting the Microsoft SQL Server or Oracle RDMBS | ADW BizApp from the drop-down menu.
  2. In the Properties area of the connection, enter one of the following JDBC URLs
Hint: hover your mouse to copy the JDBC connection string
jdbc:oracle:thin:@//oracle.onecloud-demo.com:1521/orcl
jdbc:sqlserver://sql-server.onecloud-demo.com:1433
  1. Enter the relational database username and password
Note: for this tutorial, both sample databases use the same username and password.
Username RO_SAMPLE_DB
Password testdata
  1. Enable the connection for the DEV and PROD Environments.
